Dave Naffis Senior Partner

Dave is the cofounder of Intridea and a classic Web 2.0 “hacker”. As our lead Architect, and an expert Ruby on Rails developer, Dave heads the Intridea product development efforts. He is an active member of the Rails community and the author of numerous plugins. Before Intridea, Dave spent years at both AOL and IMAKE and received a Masters in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia. In other entrepreneurial ventures, Dave built and operated CanYouConnect – a social-networking site that competed with MySpace – and Connexon Media – a Rails consultancy. Dave also helped found the Washington DC Ruby User Group.

Yoshi Maisami Senior Partner

As a Co-Founder and Senior Partner of Intridea, and the head of Business Development, Yoshi is the driving force behind the company’s comprehensive growth strategy. A serial entrepreneur and consummate inventor, Yoshi’s ‘Win-Win’ philosophy and ‘Result-Oriented’ leadership style has generated over $1 Billion in cumulative revenues for his partners, clients, and affiliates. A staunch optimist, he looks forward to seeing Intridea join the ranks of the Fortune 500.

Chris Selmer Senior Partner

Chris is an expert Ruby on Rails architect with over 10 years of project leadership and hands-on development experience. He specializes in leading small teams on fast-paced development projects. As Director of Client Solutions, he oversees Intridea’s client services efforts. Before Intridea, Chris led Better Endeavor LLC, a Ruby on Rails consultancy. He has also worked as a software architect for George Washington University and the University of Maryland. Chris spoke at Railsconf 2008 on developing web applications in 48 hours, is an active member of the Rails community, and helps run the Washington DC Ruby User Group.

Michael Bleigh Creative Director

As the Creative Director of Intridea, Michael is responsible for the user experience of Intridea’s products and service solutions. With many years of experience working as both a designer and a developer, Michael specializes in helping to bridge the gap between the back-end development and the front-end design of a project.

Michael also serves as Intridea’s Open-Source Activist. In addition to writing numerous Rails plugins and open-source libraries himself, he internally and externally promotes the use and release of open-source in all of Intridea’s work.

Pradeep Elankumaran Director of Research & Development

A former computational scientist, Pradeep was writing sophisticated astrophysical simulations in Ruby well before the language became fashionable. Since then, he has been working with and thinking a lot about social networks, machine learning and applying mathematical models to social data. At Intridea, he’s responsible for researching and developing emerging web technologies, launching new products and writing beautiful code. Recently, he’s been checking out Erlang and has been spending lots of time hacking away deep in the guts of the Rails framework.

Brendan Lim Director of Mobile Development

Before Intridea, Brendan spent his days as a systems architect at a mobile startup called kajeet, Inc. He also found the time to co-found, design, and lead development on Yappd, a microblogging social network, built on Rails, that was featured in such publications as PC Magazine, TechCrunch and Mashable.

Adam Bair Software Architect

Adam has a passion for elegant solutions and beautiful code. He is a Ruby on Rails evangelist who advocates test driven development and web standards. Before joining Intridea, Adam worked at Revolution Health building large-scale applications used by millions of people each month.

Brent Collier Senior Engineer

Brent spent several years working on J2EE projects doing mostly server-side development for large clients in the financial sector. After leaving the enterprise world for a mobile startup, a coworker turned him on to Ruby on Rails. With this newfound interest, Brent went on to co-found and develop Yappd, a microblogging social network built on Rails. He has since continued to hone his Rails skills, concentrating on social content and collaboration. As a Senior Engineer, Brent employs agile methodologies whenever possible and strives to produce simple and effective solutions.

Joe Grossberg Senior Engineer

Joe brings nine years of professional front- and back-end development experience to the table, with expertise in Ruby, Python, PHP and JavaScript. He fell in love with the web when Netscape 1.0b was released in 1994 and hasn’t looked back since. Prior to working at Intridea, Joe was a software engineer at Revolution Health, where he developed enterprise-level B2B and D2C applications.

Raymond Law Senior Engineer

Raymond has extensive background in C++ data modeling and simulation, picked up working for a defense contractor. He also studied PHP before discovering the beauty of Ruby on Rails and joining forces with the Web 2.0 list managmenent site, OnMyList.com Ray is now a senior engineer with Intridea, where he specializes in agile development with Ruby on Rails. He is proficient in front-end design, back-end business logic, deployment setups, as well as DBMS.

Maggie Lubberts QA Engineer

Maggie has 5 years of customer and technical support under her belt, and a love of new technology. As QA Engineer she tests Intridea’s products for errors and usability and reports any issues she finds. Maggie is also responsible for reading and responding to customer support requests for Intridea’s products.

Paul Ostazeski Engineer

Prior to joining Intridea, Paul was a mathematician for the National Security Agency. He’s been a Ruby user for years, but is a relatively recent Rails developer. In addition to Ruby, Paul is well-versed in C and Perl, and has been a full time Linux user for over ten years.

Simon Parsons Software Architect

Simon loves Ruby’s dynamism and Rails’ terseness. He can build an app from end-to-end – design, UI, and hacking the DB when ActiveRecord just won’t do it. He likes working on interfaces, tweaking for usability.

Dave Potsiadlo Web Designer

A strong proponent of great design, David works hard to craft clean, usable, and attractive websites to foster seamless user experience. Previously an employee of the Chesapeake Research Consortium, David was the head of web design & development for the Chesapeake Community Modeling Program. There, he helped promote the accessibility of open source models and data in the Chesapeake Bay. David also gained valuable experience as a freelance designer & consultant, walking clients through all steps of the design process. David is a graduate of the University of Maryland.

Doug Ramsay Software Architect

Doug has more than 10 years of web development experience, and is comfortable working on everything from CSS to the database. He enjoys hacking on Rails and Merb, and is always working on broadening his skill set. Prior to joining Intridea, Doug worked at Revolution Health Group, with a focus on their B2B efforts and web services. He also worked for the NFL Players Association, where he converted the nflplayers.com website from legacy ASP code to C#/.NET, and managed the site on a day-to-day basis.

Ping Yu Software Architect

Ping is our lead Ajax and XML/Web Services Developer. He has eight years of experience developing high-performance, server-side applications in Java and C++. He is also a certified financial analyst.

Yong Zhi Senior Engineer

Yong worked in network security Industry for 6 years before becoming a fulltime ruby developer. In his free time, he wrote a ruby parser and compiler for JVM, and has been participating Google Summer of Code program as a mentor for Ruby Central.
