Chris Tate Director of User Interface Design
At Intridea, Chris is responsible for bringing a client’s vision to life. He works closely with our engineers and developers to ensure that a project not only meets their strategic and functional needs but looks great too. He excels at creating intuitive and engaging user interfaces, connecting form to function.
Chris (also known as "Batman" by those who work with him), studied Interactive Media at the Maryland Institute College of Art; he is a grid-aholic with a deep appreciation for good typography. He loves front-end development, design experiments, and learning new tricks. He enjoys pushing pixels and interfaces to their limits.
Over the years, he’s worked closely with companies such as Planit, Under Armour, FILA, Johns Hopkins, Georgetown School of Medicine, MBA.com, and even Martin O’Malley providing art direction, development and design expertise. Additionally, he has done work as a network engineer, a performance artist in Seoul, an English teacher in Japan, and as a DJ in Tokyo.
