Peter Gumeson Senior Engineer
At a young age, Peter was adopted by a pack of Java developers and raised as one of their own. For many years they brought him up on a diet of Ants and something they called E.J.Beans, which were very bland. Before long he started to notice that he was very different from the rest. He didn’t enjoy compiling code and his fingers weren't adapting to typing all those curly braces. Soon he began to suspect there were others like him out there using a dynamic new language to write powerful web frameworks. So he ran away.
Peter found himself lost in the vast wilderness of pre-web 2.0 technologies. Until he came across the essays of Paul Graham and a web framework called Ruby on Rails. The rest was history.
Peter comes to Intridea after a long stint of independent consulting and entrepreneurial adventure. He is a true hybrid; A developer, designer and sysadmin all rolled in one. He lives in the funky beach town of Encinitas CA in north county San Diego with his wife and 2 daughters.
