"Mashable is excited to launch our new iPad app and we think Intridea has done a fantastic job. There’s high demand for Mashable on the iPad, and we think our readers will be as excited as we are about the launch."

Mashable is one of the world’s largest blogs focused exclusively on Web 2.0 and Social Media news, with more than 15 million monthly pageviews.

After building iPad and iPhone applications for Mashable they asked us to build a Kindle Fire application to give millions of users access to their favorite social media blog on their Kindles.

Developing the Mashable Kindle Fire application was especially interesting considering some of the restrictions present between standard Android applications and Kindle Fire applications. We had to remove any external API calls to Google services, customize it around the difference in hardware features (no camera or GPS on the Fire for example), and create a fresh, engaging user interface.

In the end we were able to deliver a highly customized Kindle Fire application to meet the demands of their voracious and dedicated readers.
