Why Watch TV Alone?
We needed the brightest, most creative team to help us re-design WatchParty. I found that team at Intridea. I was stunned by the quality of their design work and how quickly they were able to deliver results. They really understood our mission and worked diligently to help us complete this project.

WatchParty is an interactive chat room for people to get together online and enjoy TV shows.
When WatchParty approached us to design their user interface and optimize it for web and tablet use we knew this would be a fun project. We love helping to build people's great ideas and this was definitely a great idea we could get excited about.
The concept behind WatchParty is to bring people together to share in watching and communicating about their favorite TV shows. It's social TV. The interactive chat rooms allow users to chat with each other while the show is on and features trivia games, achievements, and private chat. Users can also express their mood by using custom created and quirky expressions.
We designed WatchParty with playful and interesting assets that make users feel comfortable using the service. We optimized the design for tablet use along the way by using larger visual elements and adding functionality to collapse navigational items when they weren't being actively used to save screen real estate.
WatchParty will be launching another product based on our design, Chattabout. Chattabout will be open to uses beyond social TV but will inherit many of the same functionality and qualities of the Watchparty application.
